Pastel Society
International Association of Pastel Societies
Formed in the summer of 2006, the Northern Indiana Pastel Society welcomes artists from Indiana, Michigan, and Illinios.
The group's purpose is to stimulate interest in pastels as an art medium and to encourage and support members in their artistic and professional growth. Members seek to form alliances, share information and enjoy camaraderie.
Meetings are held at the Studio Arts Center, 807 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, Indiana, on the third Sunday of February, April, June, August and October, at 1 p.m. A holiday gathering is held in December.
Meetings include committee reports, old and new business and a program. The programs include guest speakers, slide shows and demonstrations. Members are encouraged to bring pastel paintings to display at meetings.
The group also hosts workshops and exhibits. An email newsletter is published before each meeting.
The membership dues are $20 for one year.
